What is Baitboat?
Baitboats or bait boats are small remote controlled boats that has 1 or 2 hoppers to carry your particles, as well as your end tackle and hookbait to a specific point on a carp venue, their destination is usually hard to approach or a very far distant fishing spot, thanks to this device you can reach to anywhere from land. What is Baitboat used for?

- Keep a tight line when dropping rigs. Ideally, do it with an open arm rather than clutch as this can cause line twists.
- Take care not to catch your line on propellers if the boat has no propeller guards. Keep a more or less straight line and avoid sudden turns.
- Avoid the temptation of boating to too excessive distances or to areas unsafe to fish (severe snags).
- Keep an eye on battery life, have spare batteries and have a rescue line attached to the boat.
- Make sure you know your swim boundaries to avoid upsetting other anglers and disturbing their fishing.
How does Baitboats work?
Baitboats are navigated via the use of a handheld radio remote control, so you can send the loaded boat anywhere on any given venue. Different models have different signal ranges.
With a bait boat the lead, rig, bait and any PVA bag or stringer are placed into a part of the boat called a hopper. The hopper typically has plenty of space for additional baits, and most bait boats have one or two hoppers, some bait boats will have external rig droppers, allowing you to safely attach your end tackle to your bait boat. When the boat arrives at the desired location the angler opens the hopper by remote control and its contents then drop into the water and make their way to the bottom of the water. The absence of any casting or passage of the rig through air means that there is a very limited opportunity for tangles to occur: the lead drops into the water and drags the rig in.
What motor and ESC are Suitable for Baitboats?
There are a certain number of fishing boats on the market that use traditional brushed motors. These motors have low cost. But they have less efficient, louder electrically noisy and shorter lifespan because brushes and commutators wear out. So more and more users turn to brushless motors and ESCs.
Brushless motors offer several advantages over brushed DC motors, including high torque to weight ratio, increased efficiency producing more torque per watt, increased reliability, reduced noise, longer lifetime by eliminating brush and commutator erosion, elimination of ionizing sparks from the commutator, and an overall reduction of electromagnetic interference (EMI). With no windings on the rotor, they are not subjected to centrifugal forces, and because the windings are supported by the housing, they can be cooled by conduction, requiring no airflow inside the motor for cooling. This in turn means that the motor's internals can be entirely enclosed and protected from dirt or other foreign matter.
Brushless motor commutation can be implemented in software using a microcontroller, or may alternatively be implemented using analog or digital circuits. Commutation with electronics instead of brushes allows for greater flexibility and capabilities not available with brushed DC motors, including speed limiting, microstepping operation for slow and fine motion control, and a holding torque when stationary. Controller(ESC) software can be customized to the specific motor being used in the application, resulting in greater commutation efficiency.
